| UMFS 3rd Annual Silent and Live Auction October 6, 2007 To support programs and services for children, families in need.
Our mission is to touch a life and create a future through a ministry of innovative services to children, families, and communities. When you see the challenges some children, families and seniors face in their lives, you might be forgiven for not being an optimist. Reality can be harsh. Problems can have deep, deep roots. Uncontrollable circumstances sometimes turn lives completely upside down. Yet at United Methodist Family Services, we are optimists through and through. Why? In more than a century of providing treatment and services across a broad spectrum of needs, we’ve learned what it takes to bring a troubled teen back from the brink, to fill a void for a caring family and a child without a home, and to provide comfort and security for those facing the complications of advancing age. When you know what to do and see the difference you can make, you cannot help being positive about the possibilities often hidden away in people. Touch a life, create a future is a principle that guides our every action – and it comes as much from our hearts as it does our expertise.
